Mr Speaker, by intervening in the economy arbitrarily, the government prevents market players from adjusting to changing circumstances and thus purging excesses or correcting malinvestment. The same applies to bailouts and manipulation of the money supply through central banking. We therefore propose a return to the proven policies of sound money and laissez-faire.
