Description[?]:
To my rightful colleagues, . Our proposal is that private companies operate regional TOC's. The national service is provided by a publicly owned, national TOC This proposal means that we are keeping our private rail companies going but also providing a service rightfully owned nationally. Regional services deserve to be unaffected however, as a country, we should have one big rail company doing this service meaning that people will travel faster as they will not have to keep changing and it will be easier for people to get around if they are travelling far as there would only be one rail name they need to remember and no changes allowing a stress free journey. We need easier travel for people and this would be a step in the right direction We urge especially the IDP and SDA to vote yes in order to help people get around quicker on trains. In the future if this is successful we will look at putting it in place on other transport methods. Mia Jang-Sin Minister of Infrastructure and Transport |
