Message | Margaret Gedrych, the First Vice-President of PLP: "Mr. Speaker, may I ask the Senators from the Demokratische Allianz what would be the reasons behind Article 1 of this bill? What possible reasons could there be for scrapping any existing food standards provisions? Pleasing some companies, I suppose? Then, how many times are we going to change our healthcare system? Ever since the Progressive Liberal Party formed we worked on getting the most efficient and operating systems to ease the burden on the people of Aloria. We've introduced healthcare, welfare and education reforma that are still part of our legislation today, one of which establishes the existence of a public healthcare system and an universal healthcare guarantee for all, but allows for any other private clinics to exist and to offer treatment for those who wish so. A sudden transition to a private healthcare system with no preparation, no base whatsoever would simply plunge this country into disorder. The Progressive Liberal Party opposes the bill in the current form." |

Message | We agree with privatising the healthcare system, and it will play a big part in our general election campaign, however we would rather we subsidised it for low-income earners and the vulnerable. Also, we cannot vote for this bill while it proposes we let in any refugees, regardless of their reason. Therefore, we are voting against this bill. Daniel Leitzke, Prime Minister |

Random fact: In order for a Cabinet bill to pass, more than half of the legislature must vote for it and all of the parties included in the proposed Cabinet must support it. If your nation has a Head of State who is also the Head of Government, then the party controlling this character must also vote for the bill, since the Head of Government is also a member of the Cabinet. If any of these requirements are not met, the bill will not pass. |
