Bill: Constitutional Reform Bill of January 4209
Details
Submitted by[?]: New Triumph
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 4209
Description[?]:
As a nation, we have already enshrined in law a fundamental change in government: that the head of state and government are two entirely separate officials. As such, it is important that the title of the head of state is changed accordingly, and that religious legislation is altered accordingly as we adopt an increasingly secular way of life. Most importantly, we must act only to preserve the well-being of native and ethnically pure Luthorians, and we are better able to do this when we are further able to exert political control over this great country. As such, we propose the following with respect to the title of the Head of State; (a) from Rupert I of the House of Northminster, by the Grace of God, of the Holy Luthori Empire and other Luthorian Realms and Territories Emperor, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith, to the title 'President' and furthermore; (b) that we recognise the important cultural role of the Emperor, and that we continue to maintain his estates and those of his heirs, as well as providing close protection, but that the Crown as an institution is no longer recognised legally We also propose a change in blasphemy laws. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, Would it not make more sense for us to maintain the Emperor as the nation's head of state, and allowing a representative to the national government for the Emperor? Doing this seems to effectively devalue the Emperor's actual position as the nation's Head of State. We would be glad to have an open discussion with our Luthori brothers in New Triumph on this issue. Francis Flutter, Leader of Occidental Civilzation |

Random fact: Players consent to the reasonable and predictable consequences of the role-play they consent to. For example, players who role-play their characters as committing criminal offences should expect those characters to experience the predictable judicial consequences of that. |
Random quote: "The great economic, social and political scientist, Karlstein Metz, accurately predicted over 2,500 years ago that capitalism is doomed to destruction by its inherent weaknesses and contradictions, and must inevitably be replaced by a communist form of social, political and economic organisation." - Friedrich Pfeiffer, former Dorvish politician |
