Bill: Budget proposal of November 4209

Details

Submitted by[?]: Konservative Unionistische Partei

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 4210

Description[?]:

The Konservative Partei propose to adjust the government's spending budget to better address the economic and social situation of the Bundesrepublik Narikaton und Darnussia. We believe that our nation's finances need to be improved in order to ensure an efficient and swift recovery. The government's financial position is wrong, and will harm public services; our plan will ensure investment in public services and spending resettlement in government departments.

MessageThese cuts are far too few and wrongly placed. The KP needs to take into consideration that in an economy you have to play by the rules. The only alternative to austerity is asking the hard-working fiscally responsibility taxpayers to fork out for an idiotic socialist spending spree.

That is morally wrong and it would have grave political consequences in Narikaton. Asking the taxpayer to make up for government failure is simply nothing more but THEFT!

MessageI do not understand what Mr Stranz is talking about?! We have never and will never ask the tax payer to pay more for government mistakes; I would suggest they get their facts straight. We have always been a party of low taxes, and will continue to be. When we were in government we cut revenue from almost 750 Billion to 500 Billion; its proven the tax-payer pays less under the Konservative Partei.

And isn't it interesting that the Chairman of the VFD, speaks of consequences for Narikaton but not Darnussia. Isn't this proof that the VFD is outdated and out of touch with society?

MessageWe would prefer if these cuts weren't necessary, but we see that they are. This is far more responsible than the VFD budget. We would however like to see fewer cuts to our failing food and agriculture industries, still damaged by VFD removal of all subsidies except those minor subsidies provided by local government.

We would also note that this defecit was created by a capitalist, not socialist, taxing system, and shall reject the obligatory lies about socialist mismanagement of the economy bound to be flung at us by the VFD.

MessageWe oppose because budgets should be proposed only by the governing coalition. This is not the job of the opposition at all. And a failure to pass a successful budget by a government means a new cabinet or snap elections should be encouraged.

MessageOpposition has commonly provided new budgets and taxing schemes in recent history, and the incompetence of the incumbent government is crystal clear. As for snap elections, we call those far too frequently anyhow (perhaps a 36 month Bundestag would have solved that problem but it seems everyone hates that!). As such we can only say that either a new coalition should be created or we would urge the PRF to support this budget, placing the national interest above common courtesy.
