The ministry of internal affairs suggests instead of mandatory military service after completion of adulthood, to give them a choice to choose between military and other national services. This provides a sense of choice and recognition of future opportunities for them. Message | Mr. Speaker, The New Green Party of Lodamun will support this bill. Though we would rather it not be mandatory, the sense of choice this bill states would give the people some freedom on how they would have to serve the country and we agree with that. Montil Moray, NGPoL Chairman |
Date | 12:57:04, May 18, 2017 CET | From | Progressive centre party | To | Debating the Mandatory civil service act 4212 |
Message | Mr. Speaker, The progressive centre party will not support this bill. Although the amendment is an improvement to the current law we are opposed to any kind of mandatory national service and will therefore oppose this bill.
