LNC has chosen not to vote on the most recent setback in judicial legislation, but since we were treated in a most treacherous way, we propose, once again, a reform to make our justice apparatus easier. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, The progressive centre party will oppose this bill for two reasons. Firstly this legislation has just been voted on and changed which gave the LNC the opportunity to have their say and they decided to abstain. To change this legislation again now would merely cause significant instabilty and confusion across the nation. Secondly this is a blatant attempt by the biggest party in government to remove peoples access to a fair justice system and in particular their right to appeal. David Stephenson, The progressive centre party candidate for justice |

Message | Mr. Speaker, please note that LNC refused to vote against the last bill merely because it had a majority at that time and could decide the outcome by itself. We might still be the biggest party, but we no longer hold the majority. On the other hand we respect and understand the stance of Mr. Stephenson, and would like to hear what other parties think about this before we decide whether or not to pass this bill to vote. Message | Mr. Speaker, My party cannot support this. We believe all persons should have a right to appeal. We also believe that the law should be administered by the judges and juries of courts rather than being based on only the morality of the President. Lora Stalno, NGPoL Chairwoman |
