EXTRADITION LAW ARTICLE 1 When a Likatonian citizen is claimed by the justice of another nation, then the government may start an extradition process provided that: - The claiming nation is not at war with the Federal Republic of Likatonia - The claiming nation has got effective separation of powers and justice is imparted by independent courts - Death penalty is outlawed in the claiming nation. - Cruel or inhumane treatment of suspects and convicts is not allowed in the claiming nation. - The claiming nation has not been specifically forbidden to claim extradition by the Ministry of Justice. ARTICLE 2 All extradition processes shall be given a seal of approval by the Extradition Department of the Ministry of Justice before their accomplishment. ARTICLE 3 The claiming nation shall bear with the costs of the extradition and shall be responsible for the imprisonment and/or sustenance of the extradited Likatonian citizens. Once the judicial process (or the sentence, if applicable) is finished, the claiming nation shall return the Likatonian citizens to Likatonian soil. ARTICLE 4 The Federal Republic of Likatonia shall always keep the right to claim back Likatonian convicts or suspects that have been extradited to foreign nations under this law.
