Bill: Request to Call for a Session of the Artanian Union in Vanderburg in June of 4220

Details

Submitted by[?]: Whig Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 4219

Description[?]:

Although permission is not needed we request the compliance and cooperation of the Peoples Assembly in calling for and hosting a Session of the Artanian Union with the goal of using this session to revitalize the Artanian Union. Should this session fail we will once again call for leaving the AU. Since 4220 is near the end of the current term we request the compliance of the Peoples Assembly so the administration can feel confident that this foreign policy initiative will not die due to an election.

Secondly we propose nominating former President Jackson Royal to serve as the Rutanian representative to the Artanian Union, to report to the Foreign Secretary of course.

Random fact: Any RP law granting extraordinary "emergency powers" or dictator-like powers to a government must be passed by at least a 2/3rds majority, but (like all RP laws) may always be overturned by a simple majority vote of the legislature.
