Message | Mr Speaker, Our current expenditure is approx 199 Billion LDP. This income tax change would reduce the tax intake (excluding corporation tax) by about 44 Billion LPD. When we recently proposed a reduction in our expenditure the RCP voted against it. I have to say they are the most economically illiterate party I have ever witnessed. Until expenditure is cut we cannot propose ridiculous tax cuts such as this. Budget deficits are something which I would have thought a 'Conservative party' would have frowned upon. Peter Wright Prime Minister. |

Message | Mr Speaker, That reduction is the point. The new budget would ensure no deficit and living within our means with a fairer tax system. This Conservative Party wants low tax, and we're willing to make budget cuts to do so. James Stinson Deputy Leader of the RCP |
