MessageMr Speaker,

This is a radical new budget, but it is aimed at recognising the new income tax system we have presented, as that will reduce revenue by 24 billion pound, we must do the same with expenditure. Live within our means. Leave people more of their money so they can invest and spend it, instead of having the Government do so, whilst we maintain the essential public services.

MessageMr Speaker,
Radical in the extreme. We will not allow the Defence budget to be touched. Education is also a no-go area for our party. Instead of trying to reform an alright income tax/ Budgetary situation why dont the RCP enact laws which people will actually care about. We will wholeheartedly vote this proposal down and hope that any party with an economic brain will do the same.

Prime Minister.

MessageMr Speaker,

Taxes need to come down. To ensure we do not run a deficit, the budget needs to be reigned in. This is the quickest way to do so without hurting essential services and Defence & Education retain the largest budgets of 30 billion pound each.

MessageMr Speaker,

Taxes may need to come down yes, but not to the extend proposed. We are facing a military threat from Vanuku, and the RCP wish to cut the defence budget. This is highly irresponsible and I must say for all the criticism we take for our motives, we will never put the nation at risk like this proposal does.

MessageMr Speaker,

30 billion pound and the joint largest single spend is hardly risking the nation. We can maintain the forces and arms we have with 30 billion a year.

Random fact: Players have a responsibility to differentiate between OOC (out-of-character) and IC (in-character) behaviour, and to make clear when they are communicating in OOC or IC terms. Since Particracy is a role-playing game, IC excesses are generally fine, but OOC attacks are not. However, players must not presume this convention permits them to harass a player with IC remarks that have a clear OOC context.

Random quote: "What are you trying to protect heterosexual marriages from? There isn't a limited amount of love in Iowa. It isn't a non-renewable resource. If Amy and Barbara or Mike and Steve love each other, it doesn't mean that John and Mary can't." - Ed Fallon
