Message | Chemical and biological weapons are grouped with nuclear weapons as Weapons of Mass Destruction. A double-standard should not impact our deterrence. We must ensure that any enemies do not take advantage of our legal restrictions to use biological and chemical attacks against our people. This bill does not condone any unprovoked use of nuclear weapons - that would be a true atrocity - but would allow us to threaten to respond nuclearly to, say, a nerve gas attack on our capital (such an attack would be just as horrific as a nuclear one).
