Message | Mr. Speaker for years the rights of working people have been the target of barbaric attacks. Trade Unions have been illegalized and striking has been outlawed. Unions play a vital role in our society. They allow employers to be held accountable and prevent exploitation. They can play a key role in improving conditions of ordinary people. There are members of this house who don't always agree with me, and I accept that. However I think most of us can agree that we don't want to live in a society that denies people this basic freedom. Join with me in repealing this draconic legislation. |

Message | Mr Speaker, The RCP opposes this legislation on the grounds of being held to ransom. Allowing collective bargaining opens a company to threats and intimidation from trade unions who aim not to improve workers lives, but to gain power and influence, paying their Leaders fat wages to threaten companies into doing what they want. James Stinson Deputy Leader of the RCP |

Message | Mr Speaker, My party is happy to support the government on this issue. Measures which discourage worker exploitation should always be considered. I would however, argue a free labour market benefits us all and we would not support measures to further empower trade unions if this bill is passed. Willie Sims, Deputy Leader of the Libertarian Party |

Random fact: When your party holds the foreign affairs department, you can create new treaties. However, before writing anything new, it is a good idea to search for existing treaties which already accomplish what you desire. |
