Per the vote on the following bill http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=521701 Aloria is categorised as a middle power. While not a regional or great power, we still concur moderate levels of political and military influence. Per the RP guidelines (http://forum.particracy.net/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=7293&p=115462#p115451) we are: - Able to defend and secure our border entirely. - Able to project moderate amounts of military and political influence to our immediate neighbors only. - Able to possess weapons of mass destruction (chemical and biological only, not nuclear). - Able to possess amphibious warfare ships (except aircraft carriers). - Internally stable - Able to possess and maintain an efficient and effective armed forces (one which is limitedly up to date, moderately trained and moderately equipped). - Slightly dependent on military alliances with larger nations which surround us (Dorvik and Luthori are the largest military powers in Artania), as a means of assisting in the training of our armed forces or for limited protection. The Armed Forces of Aloria (AFA) is divided into 4 branches: the Alorian Republican Army (ARA), the Alorian Republican Navy (ARN), the Alorian Republican Air Force (ARAF), and the Alorian Republican Marine Corps (ARMC), with active and reserve troop numbers as follows: ARA - 140,000 active; 100,000 reserve ARN - 80,000 active; 26,000 reserve ARAF - 70,000 active; 21,000 reserve ARMC - 10,000 active; 3,000 reserve National intelligence services: The Alorian Secret Intelligence Service (ASIS) - responsible for international human intelligence (similar to the CIA) The Alorian Security Intelligence Service (ASIO) - responsible for domestic security intelligence (similar to the FBI) The Alorian Communications Security Agency (ACSA) - responsible for signals intelligence (similar to the NSA) The Alorian Defence Intelligence Bureau (ADIB) - responsible for defence intelligence (similar to the DIA) The directors of each of the four intelligence services will be nominated by the President. These nominations must be approved by a majority in the Senate. Each director will report to the Minister of Defence, who in turn reports to the Cabinet and the President.
