Description[?]:
This bill is about the funding on public transport. My party is a firm believer of public transport. Infrastructure is one the absolute fundamentals for an economy to grow and to do this in a sustainable way would lead to a consistent amount of economic growth for a long period of time. Public transport is very environmentally friendly. The problem with public transport right now, is that it is not being used to it's full extent. I am sure, with the help of subsides, this can be achieved quite easily. I want public transport to be fully subsidised by the government. By doing this, the quality will increase significantly and people with lower incomes can benefit greatly from this. It can help businesses get a wider access to future skilled employees for their businesses. It will allow better overall connectivity for the country, better trade increasing the amount of money the government has to spend on public services. Jobs will be created as drivers and operators will be needed due to the increase in the quantity of public transport. The economy will grow and social inequality will decrease as a result. I understand that this will cost the government a lot more money but the money will be made back by economic growth and more exports/trade happening overseas. Considering we also have a very large budget surplus due to the government's well planned budget, we are more than capable to support the subsidies and help the economy to grow. |

Random fact: Party candidates for head of state elections are not visible to the public. This means that you cannot see who will run and who will not, which adds another strategic element to the elections. |
