MessageMr Speaker, if my Honourable Friend wishes to address the Economic and Social situation why are they proposing a decrease in Health and Social services, and Science and Technology. Both of these are Ministries that need further funding to help out both the Economic and Social situations.

MessageMr Speaker, these cuts were necessary so as to lessen the 3 billion dollar deficit we have and also to grow the economy. If we notice, there was a reallocation of monies to food a d agriculture because it's the intention of this government to have more persons working on farms which will create jobs along with concessions in fertilizers for farmers and more afro processing with agriculture products poised to supply both the local and global market thereby increasing trade.

MessageMy apologies Mr Speaker, I now received information from my permanent secretary that we did manage to get the 3 billion deficit to a surplus now for last fiscal year in last quarter of a mere 111 million.

MessageWe agree with MFP and CUP , we would abstain if Cosmopolitan Party don't vote against the bill. We liked that times when Science , Education and Healthcare had 25.000 millions MCR as budget, and environment or tourism 75. What a pity!

MessageDefence cuts isn't best as we are trying to revolutionize and upgrade our military. We believe the best way to then create jobs and grow the Economy in through increased expenditure in industry, trade and agriculture.

MessageNo it won't as those who are workers in the construction sector will now get jobs in the industrial sector with construction of new factories and processing centers.
