Message | I welcome the idea to ban titles of the nobility and the minor political rights which come with them, however unfortunately Articles 2 & 3 force me away from voting in favor of this, I am opposed to Article 3 because it can be problematic if businesses providing things like transport do not act in the national interest, another major concern is the fact that our military is privately owned and would not be exempt from this. I oppose Article 2 because whilst ideally campaigns would be funded by party membership, the unfortunate truth is that if we set up that system it is too difficult to distinguish between those donations and those of large companies or millionaires and billionaires which rig elections in favor of the pro-corporate parties (ooc: Particracy is not detailed enough). This means that publicly funding campaigns is the least bad option that we have available. Sonnie Vernon (Campaign Policy Spokesperson of the Secularist, Socialist Party of Baltusia) |
