Bill: The Prosperous Farmer Bill

Details

Submitted by[?]: The Libertarian-Reform Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 4227

Description[?]:

We gather outside Parliament today to address a flaw in our economic system. The government has it's hands all over the Free Market, especially in the farming communities of Beluzia.

Current Beluzian Institutions see to it that we subsidize low income farmers to aid their failing business. We believe this is a dangerous precedent to set as we are encouraging the growth of businesses which cannot survive on their own and interfering in the Free Market and local economies, thus giving unjust boosts to non-profitable businesses in the agricultural sector and thus hurting the free-market competition required for true economic growth.

MessageWe of the Libertarian-Reform Movement believe these amendments will help shape our economy and farming communities into proper businesses allowing for economic growth of the prosperous farmer and to allow true free market competition take the reigns where it needs to. This is how we encourage business and further economic growth in Beluzia, By giving everyone a fair chance to prosper, and fair chance to succeed, not by boosting up those failing to even survive.

MessageThe Libertarian-Reform Party is talking about "fair chance", but if approved this bill will put in jeopardy our farming system.

Poor smallholders farmers, who depend on subsidies, will be force to sell their farms and became day labourer, or worse, unemployed.

If this bill will be approved, only rich speculator will be happy. Poor families will became even poorer, and our rural communities will suffer for the prosperity of the few.

The S&D will not sustain this bill.

MessageWe would like to offer a final word before vote.

While we honourably respect Mr. Steven Martin's views on the matter we believe some of his theorized outcomes have been inflated. The government shouldn't generating false competition, it is not how you encourage growth of the economy. The fact that farmer's who are actually successful are being forced into competition with Farmer's who would never have survived without government support is stunting the free market and the economic growth of Beluzia. The government is not a crutch for any who desire to lean on. it is a governing body which is in place to ensure Equity, Fairness and Justice.
