Description[?]:
Members of Congress, The creation of the role of a Prime Minister of Baltusia gives more power to the people to choose the head of government as opposed to the party blocs who choose the President, who is currently the head of government. Message | Members of Congress, I urge you, do not decide how to vote on this bill because of the upcoming election and how this would effect your outcome it that, I ask you to make an honest decision on what is best for the people you serve. Message | Members of Congress, The fully presidential style of Baltusia's government is recognised and widely respected throughout Terra. If this bill was to become law, the President would still have to propose the cabinet, only there'd be an extra place to fill - that is not needed and only serves to add another layer of bureaucracy. So I ask all parties to stand up with the BDGP and defend our nation's current constitution, regardless of any political differences. The way things are currently run is effective and works for the people, and I would say to the SSPB 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'. Miriam Heston BDGP Leader In Congress |

Message | Madame Heston, We are not attempting to fix a broken system, merely make an improvement so as that the choices of the people are heard more in the governmental process. Additionally I would ask you how it adds another layer of bureaucracy to give the people more options in choosing the head of government? Message | Madame Hathaway, I honestly do not see the democratic advantage in this system. In fact I only see danger. In the near past two populist parties with either pro incest or pro racist and homophobic views managed to finish as the largest parties for brief periods. Would The President be be obliged to accept their leaders as our prime minister? Other than that I echo the thoughts of Madame Heston - the system is working well, why change it?
