After the death of Layla Swinson, a snap election has had to be held for the post of Leader and Deputy Leader (due to the fact that both posts have to be elected at the same time on the same ticket).

Number of Local Party Seats Required: 375
Percentage of Votes Required: 50%

In accordance with the Beluzia Progressives Constitution Article 17.5: If no candidate obtains the valid number of votes and seats in any round the candidate with the least votes will be eliminated from the ballot and their votes reallocated in order of preference.

The seats are elected using First Past The Post however the voting system at large is AV.

The result of the election for the leader of Beluzia Progressives is as follows:

Both Owen Clegg and Amber Jameson are members of the Progress faction which believes in Social Democracy and Social Progressivism unlike past leader Layla Swinson and deputy leader Wera Feather who were members of the Unite faction which believes in Liberalism and Social Progressivism.
