Bill: Energy Reform
Details
Submitted by[?]: Gaduridos Communist Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 4229
Description[?]:
Being Energy one of the most important factors in our country's economy and sovereignty, it is clear that the Government must have a lead role in funding and maintaining it. The GCP is, as always, open to debate these proposals, but we see this bill as of extreme importance so that our people, through its elected officials, can truly decide of its own future. |

Message | We strongly oppose Article 2 because we think that power grids need to be owned and maintained by the states so that consumers have service at a much more grassroots level. This gives better customer service. It also means that prices can be adjusted so that they are higher in the wealthier areas and so on. Article 1 I'm fairly apathetic about. |

Message | Article 2 is important exactly to prevent unequal prices in the same country. It doesn't seem fair to us that energy prices in Marligantos are much lower than in South Vintalli, just because Marligantos has the capital city and all the infrastructure that comes with that factor. The GCP defends the same prices (low prices) for all states, so everyone can afford the energy they need to live with quality. |

Message | OOC: Does Marligantos literally have lower prices? Or are you just using that as an example? |
