Following the disastrous performance of the Centrist Alliance in the last election we are facing the possibility that in the future the Centrist Alliance could not get a majority but still rule as a minority government, that situation is of course extremely anti-democratic and this bill would prevent it. Message | Mr Combs, I believe the heat may have got to you. Let us look at the facts: Despite, as you put it, the "disastrous" performance of the Centrist Alliance in the election, we still received significantly more seats than the Left Bloc, even after losing a key ally in the Republican Party during the last term. The Centrist Alliance candidate won the presidential election... again - condemning the Left Bloc to six decades in opposition without a presidential victory. The Centrist Alliance has brought new parties into the fold in the form of the reformed Centrist Party and now holds a healthy Congressional Majority, which means we are easily able to vote down inept constitutional changes like this. My advice to the SSPB is to stop with the political opportunism because the facts show you have neither the means nor the opportunity. Instead, you should use your time to fulfil your constitutional obligations and name a Minority Speaker of the House as requested by your president http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=525225 Randolph Gilbert, Majority Speaker of the House |
