Bill: Security Council Nominations - Seat C

Details

Submitted by[?]: Hosian Civic Union

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 4233

Description[?]:

OOC: Quite frankly Gaduridos does not have much of a chance of being nominated for Seat C and anyway Gaduridos is not the most active nation on the forums so we would like to switch our nomination to our neighbour Baltusia to help foster good relations.

IC: Gaduridos must promote relations with her powerful neighbour Baltusia. Baltusia should be an ally of ours. Seat C is basically a toss up between Baltusia and Kalistan but Kalistan has a ridiculous, joke government in power.

MessageMembers of the Federal Assembly,

I have been invited here to speak to you by Charmé Gaborista the leader of the United Party for Progress regarding our nomination for Security Council C and other matters of closer ties.

We are absolutely delighted that you are considering support us in the upcoming Council election and feel it is a honour to be on the Security Council, making a difference for our fellow nations on the Seleyan continent.

Our policy has always been to listen to those we represent - find out what are their pressing needs and bring them up and acting on them in the World Congress.

Recently we were asked to look at the issue of worldwide nuclear disarmament - as a result our ambassador is pushing ahead with nuclear weapon talks, which will hopefully make Terra a safer place. In addition, we've worked with our ally Istalia to press oppressive regimes into change and to defend human rights, whenever they are in jeopardy.

We are also keen to promote economic and defence ties between our nations. We have recently been ranked as a regional military power with a strong economy (OOC: according to the latest RP rankings; therefore I am sure you can see the benefits of trade and defence arrangements between our two countries.

I will leave it at that for now. But please come back to me if you have any questions, or if there are any issues you would like us to bring up on your behalf in the Security Council. Please remember, we represent all nations on Seleya so whether you decide to endorse us or not we will take your requests to the Security Council.

Best regards,

Richard Hurt
Foreign Secretary of Baltusia
