Message | Rachele Delfina, Parliamentary Leader of the Confederazione Capitalista: "While I understand not ever Deputy will have the same background in economics as I do, I believe that common sense can be used to elucidate the proposed benefits of this bill. Firstly, regulations hamper foreign direct investment by making our nation less business-friendly compared to other global powers. Secondly, regulations can and oftentimes do present themselves naturally, out of consumer demands. A governmental edict is often overkill or more than the consumers truly desire. Thirdly, compliance costs our economy hundreds of millions, if not billions, of Lira each and every year that elapses. Fourthly – and for the sake of my speaking time, finally – the writing of regulations is an expensive process that costs the taxpayers’ hard-earned funds in order to enforce and create. By reducing regulations, Istalia will be able to excel economically once again, and be on the path to reducing our deficit." |

Message | Beniamino Massa, AI Whip, Honorable Ms. Delfina, If this bill would go up to vote right now, we would vote in favor. However, may I still ask of you that you split this bill, so that we can vote in favor, wih a clear conscience. We solely disagree with Articles: 3, 5, 7, 12, 13, 19, 20. As you may see, the most with which we dissgree, have only a loose connection to economics, most are social facotrs, so if you would do me this favor, I would be very greatful. However thank you very much for this bill! I do not know if I would have the courage myself to propose such radical, yet necessary, reforms. |

Message | OOC: This is the longest bill I have ever seen in almost 10 years of playing this game - do you really expect it to get enough support to pass and if not, why propose it? |
Date | 19:15:33, June 28, 2017 CET | From | Lega Giusnaturalistica | To | Debating the P.d.l. 04/4232 - Anti-Regulation, Anti-Registration Act |
Message | Rachele Delfina, Parliamentary Leader of C.C.: "My colleague, the honorable Mr. Massa, unfortunately we believe that social policy ought to be regulated to a similar extent as economic policy - that is to say, very loosely and only in the most important of cases. This bill is not purely an economic bill, but (as the name implies), it is a comprehensive anti-regulation bill. And, if you look deeper at some of the points, such as drug regulation and the like, we believe these can best be addressed as economic, not social, policy. Therefore, we will be bringing this bill to a single vote." OOC: I intend to both raise my visibility and hopefully bring about a strong, pro-market reform to Istalia. |

Message | OOC: This is going to make every party which supports it far-right, and every party which opposes it far-left. Its not fair. |

Message | OOC: it is not question to be fair or not. It is also a question to want improve some visibility on some features. For example: I want increase as possible my visibility on Progressivism, ok? Well, to do it I have to propose bills "extreme" in this sense. For example the total deregulation of incest. If I want increase my visibility but I don't care if the bill pass or not, i can procede in this way for my utility. And such a proposal are made usually by parties to the opposition which know that the bill never will pass, but they don't care because it is not their main objective when they proceed in this way. |

Message | OOC: You could always just split it up if it is for the purpose of visibility - that way it would have a lesser effect on everyone else's political positions. After this we will end up with just extreme-right and extreme-left parties. |
