Message | We encourage all parties to support the withdrawal. |

Message | This is, yet again, an example of a party that pushes legislation in one direction (i.e. support) then U-turns just several years later. Per previous requests to withdraw from international treaties, we would request that the Labor Party explain why they feel it necessary that Aloria withdraw from these Accords. |

Message | With the majority of the legislature approving of the repeal, as we wait for the vote to finalize. We will begin ordering the Foreign Affairs Ministry to prepare for a post-Brahms world with our allies. |

Message | The brainchild of former President Brahms, successive governments and Foreign Ministers of Aloria have lobbied for the introduction of these Accords throughout Aloria. 13 nations are curerntly signatories to these Accords, with votes in 4 more naitons currently taking place. The Luthori Empire is set to ratify within months. It is as important as ever that we remain part of these Accords. They provide security, trade and investment opportunities that have greatly benefited our nation and its citizens and economy over the last 11 years. Nations signed on to these Accords agree to free trade, mutual defence and shared intelligence. The Labor Party have given no reason as to why we should withdraw and until such time as they provide sufficient reasoning for withdrawal we would strongly urge all parties to vote against this motion. |

Message | Labor have been on every side of Brahms - they can't seem to maintain a consistent message on anything! They voted for it on the first vote, against on the second, then for on the third attempt when it finally passed. Now they vote to repeal it? They say that they "see fit to end the accord and move forward without it". It seems they want to repeal a successful, meaningful and beneficial international treaty on a personal whim and without any framework to move forward. Repealing these Accords removes us from an international free trade zone, mutual defence area and intelligence sharing community that involves major global and regional players such as the Luthori Republic and Baltusia. Voting to repeal these Accords is a cowardly, isolationist move that cuts ties with our regional and global allies. It makes us weaker, and it diminishes our credibility on the global stage. The Labor Party should be condemned for this action today and every day henceforth into history. |
