Bill: International Trade Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Green Socialists
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 2190
Description[?]:
This bill will impose reciprocal tariffs on imports, with no tariffs imposed on states which impose no tariffs on our exports. I believe that this bill will encourage more trade between Quanzari and its friendly countries. I believe that free trade is vital to encouraging international stability and fostering friendly relations between states. Only states that refuse to open up their markets to Quanzari will have tarrifs imposed on them. This will create a more fair market in which Quanzari's economy can prosper. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change International trade (this is a default in the absense of a specific free trade agreement or specific trade embargo)
Old value:: The nation allows for imports, but imposes protectionist tariffs and quotas on all imports.
Current: The nation imposes reciprocal tariffs on imports, with no tariffs imposed on states which impose no tariffs on our exports.
Proposed: The nation imposes reciprocal tariffs on imports, with no tariffs imposed on states which impose no tariffs on our exports.

Message | We disagree with this bill; it does not support domestic industries within our own state. |

Message | Although my party also agrees with CFQ on this issue... This "bill" is meaningless because there are no proposals........ (by now I would think all the parties in this nation would understand that nothing will happen with a bill if there are no proposals) Consequently, I refuse to vote, yes or no, for this bill and any others hence forth which do not contain and actual proposal. |

Random fact: "Game mechanics comes first." For example, if a currently-enforced bill sets out one law, then a player cannot claim the government has set out a contradictory law. |
