Message | Honourable Members of le Sénat, We are glad to see that our Act of No Confidence has kicked some life into the government, even if they are still reluctant to do what is best for the people of Kanjor and surrender power to a minority government. M. Speaker, we are wondering when, however, the next bill will be proposed by the government? Ten years? Perhaps more. I say to the people of Kanjor, that the UPD want your vote; not your prosperity. It is ironic that a party as bureaucratic and power-hungry as the Honourable Members opposite are, that they are littering the House with populist bills. For too long, they have got away with this. I warn them now, they better pull their act together if they want even a smidgen of power after the next election. I say with confidence M. Speaker: The Parti Pragmatique Kanjor is a government-in-waiting. When coming to the actual contents of the bill - something I am sure the UPD are a lot more comfortable about discussing - our position is one of similarity to the opposite party. Whilst we would support a lack of government intervention in energy industry at all, it is important that renewable energy sources are given the necessary funding required for the time being, so to provide them with a foundation for competition. Yet despite having a surplus of 57 billion KRP, the Union Populaire Democrate haven't invested more into Science and Technology - despite holding power for so long. This, M. Speaker is another populist move from the government. They claim to be trying to benefit the people, when in fact they are trying to extend their power. The one thing we fear about this bill is the lack of support for nuclear. It is quite clear that should the market be allowed to take its free flowing course, something the UPD are against, nuclear power would be the most stable and widespread energy source in our country. The fact is that the government are restricting the freedom of the market again by forcing it to take a direction that frankly is too expensive, not productive, and not efficient. What is the consequence of this? Simply put, workers within the industry get payed less, and power for Kanjorien citizens gets further reduced. It is for this reason that we must oppose this bill. We view it as an object move of populism, of opportunism, and has not been given the respect that a topic of this important deserves. This is idealism, and not thought through at all; not at all the pragmatic approach we believe should be applied to Kanjorien politics, and therefore express our distaste at the UPD for suggesting it all. I thank the Honourable Members for listening, and beg them to reject this violently populist agenda, for the sake of the freedom of Kanjoriens. Mlle. Violaine Roux Deputy Leader of the PPK |

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, it is the responsibility of players to ensure the candidate boxes on their Party Overview screens are filled in with appropriate names. If a player is allotted seats in a Cabinet bill and has not filled in names for the relevant candidate position, then the program will automatically fill in the positions with names which might not necessarily be appropriate for the Cultural Protocols. |
