Anastasia PPS, Ministry of environment and Tourism To provide for disaster risk reduction and management, and for related matters 1) National Council There shall be a National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council 2) The national council should consist of - (I) The minister who shall be the chairperson(The minster of Environment and Tourism) (II) The secretary to Cabinet (III) The chief of the Solentia Police Force (IV) A representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (V) A representative of the Ministry of Defence (VI) A representative of the Ministry of Education (VII) A representative of the ministry of Insfrastructure (VIII) A representative of the ministry of Health and social services (IX) A representative of the ministry of Food (X) A representative of the Supreme President (XI) The Chief General of the Solentia Army, including a representative from different section such as Air Force and Navy. 3) THE OBJECTIVES OF THE COUNCIL (a) promote a culture of safety and resilience to disasters, through the use of knowledge, innovation and education; (b) promote and strengthen scientific research and technical capacity in multi-hazard risk assessments and disaster risk reduction and management |
