| The current law states that the capture of POW's in times of war means that we must instantly return these POW's to their respective nations. Most POW's are actually enemy combatants that surrendered/were captured. It makes no sense, in this regard, to resupply our enemies. Instead, I propose that we retain the POW's until the conclusion of the war. In addition, we should treat them well, in accordance with our anti-torture legislation and international standards. |
