Message | Mr. Speaker, Can the honorable Senator Richardson provide any other reason for opposing this bill other than it's previous legislation that they passed? What is their reasoning for opposing it? Do they not care about the farmers and ranchers that they are hurting? Do they not care about the detriment to Hutorian economy that's cause? Message | Mr. Speaker Our party consider high animal welfare standards a pride for our nation, because especially means that we care raising the quality of what we eat. If we treat animals better, our food quality will be better, it's a simply equation. We have the possibility to make Hutori the country of good food and that's why me and my party will oppose every attempts to cancel what we made. Ann Richardson (SL-LA) Social Liberal Senate leader Senator for Constantine |

Message | Mr. Speaker, We agree with SLP that we should have animal welfare standards but, the higher they are the more restrictive they are. The more restrictive regulation is the less competition there is, less competition equals lower employment, lower quality and higher prices. If the SLP wants higher quality you can't regulate your way to it just like you can't tax your way to success. Furthermore, our farmers are barely getting by due to these oppressive regulations. Not only do we want to improve our economic output but, we also wish to improve the quality of life of our farmers and ranchers. Senator Wyatt McLaughlin (F-AD) Federalist Senate Leader |
