Bill: Abortion Reduction Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Libertarian-Socialist Coalition
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 2189
Description[?]:
Another bill previously shot down by CMAG... We believe that unwanted pregnancies and the large amount of abortions in this country can be cured through easily available contraception. Many at-risk populations, such as young teens and the poor, are highly susceptible to unwanted pregnancies, which result both in a surge of pregnancies and also in many children being born into low-income households and suffering afterwards from poor education and malnutrition. Free condoms will, in the long run, actually save us money in terms of savings to both our health care and welfare systems. Allow women the freedom to choose when to have children, but also make abortion rare. Please vote yes. |
