Description[?]:

Welcome everybody. I want to thank you for coming here today.

The people of Kanjor voted for change back in November and to be governed by two heavily nationalist-influenced parties that put emphasis on tradition. With pride in one's country also comes having control of your country and being able to give the people of Kanjor their right to self-determination, that they deserve. With other words, with nationalism comes national sovereignity as an essential ingredient.

The PUF and our coalition partners are all for interacting with the rest of the world. But this, ladies and gentlemen, can not be done at any cost. We find that signing treaties which limit the abilities of Kanjorian legislators, and thereby limit Kanjorian democracy itself, is in a sense harmful to national sovereignity. What every sovereign nation needs to truly call itself free, is the right to self-determination. By legally binding our country to keep certain legislations intact, we give away our self-determination, DESPITE that future circumstances might change, DESPITE our ignorance of what the future might give us.

I'm announcing my intention, to withdraw from the two treaties called 'Rights of LGBT Citizens' as well as 'The Comprehensive Gay Rights Treaty'. These treaties are very ideologically liberal in nature and we don't see the reason for them to be institutionalized by legally binding ourselves to them. It should be mentioned, that we're totally against institutionalizing anything - be it conservative, liberal, it does not really matter what the treaty's nature is. Our nation's democracy is too important for us to go around the world and legally bind our democracy into nothing. If the Kanjorian people want change, they should be able to change stuff in our country.

Today, I will send a proposal to the senate, to withdraw from the two treaties. That will conclude it, thank you very much.

MessageHonourable Members,

I understand the reasons behind withdrawing from these bills. It does give us a greater level of sovereignty, and helps remove layers of bureaucracy within government. However, having been the Foreign Minister for three years, I witnessed openly the effect that removing particular treaties and legislation has upon a country's position within the international community.

The fact is that this move will be condemned by those across Terra, and will cast Kanjor in a bad light. When I was Foreign Minister I wanted to raise Kanjor up to be a prosperous and successful nation of much influence within Terra. This bill will just send Kanjor's hope for representation in Terra crashing and burning. Therefore, I bid you, whether pro homosexuality or against it, to vote against this insane bill by these homophobes, so to keep our relations within international diplomacy.
