Bill: Fair Number of Regional Seats Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Trigunian Liberal Socialist Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 4243

Description[?]:

It is unfair that the method used to determine the number of seats each region receives in the national legislature is an unfair proportional algorithm that gives a very small advantage to larger regions, which is not fair, as it gives the residents of the smaller regions less of a voice and less representation compared to the larger regions.

MessageThis would give unfair representation to less populated regions, while lowering the deserved representation of higher populated regions. We therefore must vote no.

Random fact: "OOC", "IC" and "IG" are commonly-used acronyms in Particracy. "OOC" refers to comments, discussions and actions which are out-of-character, meaning they are done player-to-player rather than party-to-party. "IC" refers to in-character interactions (ie. party-to-party). Similarly, "IG" means in-game, although this term may also simply refer to what happens in the actual game interface, as opposed to on the forum or elsewhere. "RP" just means "role-play".
