The League recognizes the benefits of compulsory service to the nation however it is important that our nations policy recognizes the unique talents of the individuals involved and therefore we propose to offer a reasonable alternative to service in the military. This new national service will work in support of our armed forces, public interest and scientific advancement. The aim of the national service will be to develop an increased population of skilled professionals all the while supporting the nation in ways other than armed conflict
