MessageMr Speaker,

As outlined, moderate cuts shall be made in all areas except for the Ministry of Finance, Defence, Justice, and Trade and Industry. All run relatively small budgets for their respective sizes.

MessageMr Speaker,

These are massive cuts. 10% in Foreign Affairs, 9% in Internal affairs, 10% in Infrastructure and Transport, 7,7% in Health and Social services, 5,3% in Education, 12,5% in Science, 12% in Food, 20%(!!) in Enviroment and Tourism. These are killing for social services, like education, science, food agencies and enviroment. Mr Speaker, reject this bill to prevent damage to our society!

MessageMr Speaker,

to adres concerns raised by the Communist.

Firstly, in the matter of Environment and Tourism, we delegated so many branches of thus to the local governments - in result central government has less to do with it. Budget cuts in this sector are obvious - we don't need to manage so many branches directly, so, in result, we don't need to spend so much. If UDL would pay closer attention to what is voted in the House, they would know it.

As per food, we also delegated food sales licensing to the local governments. We still maintain food agencies to enforce high food regulation standards, but, as with the previous case, we don't need to spend as much in this sector, as we've been relieved by the local governments.

12,5 cuts in Sience are result of recent reform of our Space Agency. Private contractors provide their services cheaper, than maintaining fully state owned space agency. Those cuts will not damage our technological advancement.

Other cuts means only the reduction bureaucracy.

This budget reduction is essential, if we want to give tax relief for our citizens. Our economy is not strong, we can not maintain high budget spending. What we, this government, is trying to do, is give Talmorian opportunity to rise, thrive, create their own enterprises. Our two financial reforms, taxes and budget, are essential in this proces.

Thank You.

Christopher Goldman, Minister of Trade and Industry

Random fact: Did you know you can change the official name of your nation? All you need to do is draw up a new name that is in accordance with the Nation Renaming Guide, pass a bill proposing the name change with a two-thirds majority and then post a request to Moderation on the "Renaming Requests" thread. You can change city and region names in this way too.
