MessageMembers of our Senate

As we would like to privatize Healthcare to reduce costs on infrastructure as in this bill. The budget of health care and education can stay the same as we save money on infrastructure and personnel costs. The saved money can be used to make health care free. If health care stays in public hands the cut in infrastructure is to big. If we can het a majority for the privatization of health care we will vote in favor of this bill.

Thank you

MessageWe applaud the effort to correct the massive damage done to our defence forces by the last administration. Though we strongly advocate 4-5% of GDP expenditure for Defence to maintain a robust national defence.

The proposed amount for Foreign Affairs is far too low to maintain embassy presence and diplomatic ties. We have tried to lift Solentia out of it's isolationism and see a greater presence for our country on the global stage.

Infrastructure is far too low given the SSR's addition of superhighways, the improvement of the Halion-Romula Superhighway our life's blood of trade to from and Istalia, interstate highways, rail, pipelines, improvement of our energy grid, the conversion of many rural roads from dirt to durable pavement. We would like to see the addition of high-speed rail and full modernisation of transport for goods and people.

Our Industry is robust with many strong companies and Trade partners have grown substantially under administrations which we have taken part. The proposed amount is far too high.

Environment and Tourism could see additions, but the amount proposed is radically unrealistic.

MessageLinda Hamilton (Orame):

In response to the PLP, expenditures for healthcare do not come from the funds of Ministry Infrastructure and Transport, but rather the Ministry of Health and Social Services.

Our party supports a mixed system of market and state-subsidisation to maximise choice for those who can afford it and a safety net for those who may otherwise not.

MessageA hospital is a building that needs to be maintained. I think I expressed myself wrong. What I meant was that if Healthcare is privatized there is unused money for maintenance of the building. (OOC: Does this money comes from infrastructure or from Health and Social services?)

MessageWe have used surplus from the Treasury to upgrade all of the healthcare services and infrastructure previously. A smaller one may be necessary and we have foreseen this by assembling a One Trillion SOL surplus. Any upgrades should come from government surplus to prime the pump of the economy without shouldering our people with higher tax burdens.

SUN you would fine even after the last administration reduced defence we still spend 13% of our government income on it. A lot more than your 4-5%.

MessageGDP is Gross Domestic Product. Our GDP is 2,585,640,110,13 and an entirely different figure than the amount allocated to the government budget.

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, it is the responsibility of players to ensure the candidate boxes on their Party Overview screens are filled in with appropriate names. If a player is allotted seats in a Cabinet bill and has not filled in names for the relevant candidate position, then the program will automatically fill in the positions with names which might not necessarily be appropriate for the Cultural Protocols.
