MessageHow can nuclear power be described as clean when it produces waste which cannot be safely dealt with and remains dangerous for tens of thousands of years, we must take a holistic approach to environmental problems not just replace one environmental problem with another.

MessageIs not. Green energy is. Since it has no filth what so ever, and due to the year we live in, it's production is just as decent. Besides, green energy allows us to not be dependant on one structure which supplies energy. Green energy can be produced at home (camouflaged sun energy cells), and in a lot of other places. This way, smaller regions can provide for their own energy, instead of whole territoria being dependant on one structure.

Message..you know what I meant. Energy generated by the sun, the wind, the sea, the earth.

MessageSurely there is room for both nuclear and renewable energy resources. Sometimes it's just not reasonable to have 1000 windmills in a large metropolitan city if there is no space to put them in.
