Bill: Income tax proposal of October 4247

Details

Submitted by[?]: Secularist, Socialist Party of Baltusia

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes to change income taxes. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 4248

Description[?]:

The Secularist, Socialist Party of Baltusia propose to adjust the government's income tax policy to better address the economic situation of the Baltusia.

Members of Congress,

While this increased taxation may be off-putting to some of you I would like to assure you that:

1. By the end of the lifetime of this government we will have a growing surplus of expenditure and

2. The average Baltusian (and everybody earning under 80,000BLD) will be spending less per year because of the decrease in expenses this will cause.

This ushers in a dawn of a new Baltusia, a Baltusia where whatever anybody needs is free at the point of use and the private and public sectors are well defined in their roles and keep each other well alone.

Jenessa Hawkins
Secretary of State for Finance &
Leader of the Secularist, Socialist Party of Baltusia

MessageMembers of Congress,

I understand that a 50% tax on luxury goods is extremely high however that is not only the only way to balance the budget but also one must consider that the services the spending plan pays for equate to more than half of the average persons current spending.
