Message | Why the religious member shall not pay any taxes and our hard-working wokers class has to? We are against such privilege for some kind of jibba-jabba illusionists. |
Date | 23:40:26, February 19, 2006 CET | From | Konservativ Monarkistpartiet | To | Debating the God is Good Bill |
Message | Members of religions will pay taxes, where in this bill does it say that members of religions won't pay taxes? |
Date | 23:44:27, February 19, 2006 CET | From | KSP - Kazulia Socialdemokratisk Parti | To | Debating the God is Good Bill |
Message | Recognized religions are not taxed. |
Date | 23:47:50, February 19, 2006 CET | From | Konservativ Monarkistpartiet | To | Debating the God is Good Bill |
Message | Yes, the religions are not taxed, but the members are still taxed. |
Date | 23:51:13, February 19, 2006 CET | From | KSP - Kazulia Socialdemokratisk Parti | To | Debating the God is Good Bill |
Message | You are kidding? Is like say: "yeah, employers are taxed, but companies no". |
Date | 23:53:42, February 19, 2006 CET | From | Konservativ Monarkistpartiet | To | Debating the God is Good Bill |
Message | That analogy is wrong, someone who goes to a church or mosque does not work for the church or mosque, they are not paid by the church etc etc you cannot compare a religion to a company |
Date | 23:58:57, February 19, 2006 CET | From | KSP - Kazulia Socialdemokratisk Parti | To | Debating the God is Good Bill |
Message | You are saying that churches should not be taxed because the fidels are taxed. This is not right: then I must not pay taxes on share profits, since I already pay taxes. |
Date | 00:01:12, February 20, 2006 CET | From | Konservativ Monarkistpartiet | To | Debating the God is Good Bill |
Message | whoa, fidels? Churches are not profit making organisations, to suggest otherwise is idiotic, as to your last point, we have no idea what you are on about, once again, a church and a company are not the same. |
Date | 00:18:45, February 20, 2006 CET | From | KSP - Kazulia Socialdemokratisk Parti | To | Debating the God is Good Bill |
Message | IF they are entirely not profit, than they are not taxed now: charitable donations are not taxed. |
Date | 00:24:49, February 20, 2006 CET | From | Konservativ Monarkistpartiet | To | Debating the God is Good Bill |
Message | Then if they are entirely non-profit, it makes sense to scrap laws that tax religious organisations, as they are wasteful of time. |
Date | 00:29:14, February 20, 2006 CET | From | KSP - Kazulia Socialdemokratisk Parti | To | Debating the God is Good Bill |
Message | Then, they are profit of non-profit? |
Date | 00:30:26, February 20, 2006 CET | From | Konservativ Monarkistpartiet | To | Debating the God is Good Bill |
Message | Obviously, they are non-profit, thus any unnecessary legislation can be removed. |
Date | 00:32:38, February 20, 2006 CET | From | KSP - Kazulia Socialdemokratisk Parti | To | Debating the God is Good Bill |
Message | The current law ensure that they remain non-profit, then. In this way we can assure that so-called newage religions not stole moneys from their fidels |
Date | 00:34:29, February 20, 2006 CET | From | Konservativ Monarkistpartiet | To | Debating the God is Good Bill |
Message | Thats why we have allowed only 'recognised' religions, so as to prevent companies from claiming to be 'religions' |
Date | 00:48:51, February 20, 2006 CET | From | Klassiskt Liberala Partiet | To | Debating the God is Good Bill |
Message | We support the bill |
Date | 12:28:16, February 20, 2006 CET | From | Northern Light | To | Debating the God is Good Bill |
Message | We can have lots of unrecognized church in our nations, check our laws.. And a church needs money like any other industry |
Date | 18:50:21, February 20, 2006 CET | From | Konservativ Monarkistpartiet | To | Debating the God is Good Bill |
Message | Unrecognised Churches are a problem, for example the SV or NL could declare itself a religion and receive a tax free status, that would be wrong, thus recognised churches. A Church needs money, but it doesn't need profits, you do know of the difference between money and profits? |
Date | 18:58:06, February 20, 2006 CET | From | KSP - Kazulia Socialdemokratisk Parti | To | Debating the God is Good Bill |
Message | Profit: The return received on a business undertaking after all operating expenses have been met. Non-profit: pertaining to an organization or company established for charitable, educational, or humanitarian purposes and not for making money Then, the actual law makes what you want, SV. |
Date | 12:03:24, February 21, 2006 CET | From | Northern Light | To | Debating the God is Good Bill |
Message | *Supporters of NL are setting up stands for our new Reason Church* |
Date | 14:44:43, February 21, 2006 CET | From | Konservativ Monarkistpartiet | To | Debating the God is Good Bill |
Message | No it doesn't because there may very well be money left over at the end of the year, Churches may very well save money for use in disasters, yet you would propose a tax on that money, that is wrong. |
