Bill: Co-operative Cabinet Coalition Proposal of August 2188
Details
Submitted by[?]: Covenanters (IA)
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.
Voting deadline: May 2189
Description[?]:
Despite being the largest single party the SPP has proved itself incapable of passing legislation and thus ineffective as leader of a ruling coalition. This due to their incoherency and extremism. On the other hand the parties in this proposed coalition have proved themselves capable of compromise and of working together, whether that be in passing the Mixed Economy Act, the Arms Sales Act, or working together to bring down countless SPP bills. |

Message | There's no point in debate since you can't make any changes to these once you've started them, and there's no limit on multiple conflicting proposals. |
Date | 15:01:24, February 20, 2006 CET | From | Shuggoth Progressive Party | To | Debating the Co-operative Cabinet Coalition Proposal of August 2188 |
Message | Nice historical revisionism there CUP. Untrue, but good try. If you represented the values of a majority of the people, instead of only the religious extremist views of one sect of Protestant Christians in Yodukan, perhaps more voters would vote for you! |
Date | 18:16:31, February 20, 2006 CET | From | Luthori Democratic Party | To | Debating the Co-operative Cabinet Coalition Proposal of August 2188 |
Message | I'm particularly pleased to see the CUP overcoming sectarianism to co-operate with the SRP |
Date | 04:07:00, February 21, 2006 CET | From | Luthori Green Party | To | Debating the Co-operative Cabinet Coalition Proposal of August 2188 |
Message | SPP: They did for at least half a century. RWP: The CUP had overcome sectarianism long ago, but an allied party of theirs (now gone) was against the SRP. |

Random fact: It is not allowed to call more than 5 elections in 5 game years in a nation. The default sanction for a player persisting in the early election tactic will be a seat reset. |
