(This bill was proposed by the minister of Education and Culture Elaine Mccray)
Charter schools are a great alternative to the normal education system. They can provide a realy high quality education without the cost of private school. Furthere more, charter schools can give to educator the opportunity to try new teaching method and it allow students to develop under new educational styles

For us, it is obvious that the government should do more in order to help the instauration of more charter school.

MessageMr. Speaker,

This proposal lacks any type of solid guidelines. What qualifies a school to receive government funding? How do we determine how much to give each school? How much is this projected to cost per year? Where is this money to come from? There are just too many unanswered questions for us to support this bill in it's current state.

We agree with many of the concerns raised by the FP.

Not enough specifics.
