Bill: Economic Regulation Act II

Details

Submitted by[?]: Social Reform Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 2189

If employers refuses to give workers what they deserve, they are allowed to go on strike. But, this encourages workers to dismiss unionization and striking out of fear of losing their job. We cannot allow employers to treat their workers in such a way.

MessageBut under this option, they would be able to fire workers if the strike was unreasonable, like in the senario you have a spelled out. However, this also prevents employers from keeping workers from getting better pay through unionization.

Random quote: "I have a dream that one day, down in Alabama, with its vicious racists, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words of interposition and nullification; one day right there in Alabama, little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers." - Martin Luther King Jr.
