Message | Mr. Speaker, Votes against this legislation proves that you and your party do not care about our environment. Voting against this legislation means putting short-term profits over long-term benefits to the environment. One cannot be "pro-market" and pro-environment. Capitalism is incompatible with saving Terra. I yield. |
Date | 19:43:18, August 10, 2017 CET | From | Republican Green Party | To | Debating the Preserving Mother Terra |
Message | Mr. Speaker, It is evident that the Socialist Worker's Party does not have an understanding of green politics. Green politics can co-exist with capitalism, despite the ranting that the gentleman from the SWP has spewed forth here. There are some of these measures that are worth consideration as part of a long term aim to improve Luthori's environment, but going from no regulations to extreme regulations will cost workers dearly. For a party that claims it represents the workers to promote a policy that, while it will have long term gains for Luthori, will also cause extreme misery for millions of workers smacks of either self-serving arrogance, ignorance or sheer wilful disregard for its primary constituency. I yield. |

Random fact: Players have a responsibility to differentiate between OOC (out-of-character) and IC (in-character) behaviour, and to make clear when they are communicating in OOC or IC terms. Since Particracy is a role-playing game, IC excesses are generally fine, but OOC attacks are not. However, players must not presume this convention permits them to harass a player with IC remarks that have a clear OOC context. |
Random quote: "It is obvious that the laissez-faire ideology represents the interests of big business. For decades, the right-wing has opposed welfare programs and nationalised companies, in favour of big business disguised under 'economic liberty'." - Cecilia Xu, former Gaduri politician |
