Message | If we trusted our citizens we would install anarchy now would't we ? Our citizens is not a heterogenic group, there is vile people whom wish to harm others, there are sadists, criminals, as well as law-abiding people, but what holds the people together is the government. We care for their safety, to make a broad generalisation we would not give out WMD to the citizens, for we know that not everyone would use them responsibily. When it comes to fireworks, experts has the skill to deal with this properly, something the rest of the citizens don't. Would the DaVidan Theological Monarchist Party also enforce the same thing with having a total free church, where you can join or not join. For per your logic, we should trust them, and then should't we trust them to follow the true faith ? |

Message | 'That is a different matter altogether, as you well know. The issue here is whether or not we should allow our citizens to purchase things which are potentially dangerous. Of course they should - otherwise we would have to ban kitchen knives, saws, hammers... you get the picture. Really, in the right hands anything is dangerous. However, we take your concerns into light and we are adding an amendment to the bill.' - Archbishop Friar |

Message | There is a slight diffirence between knives, saws, hammers and such and fireworks. Hammers, Saws, Knives, are things you need at home, you need knives for excample to carve meat, and such things. hammers you need as a tool, to put up picture frames on walls, a saw, to saw down trees. They are usuefull tools that the population Needs to be able to have. Fireworks is for amusement and amusement only, and therefore while we are supportive that you make an amendment, we at this point are still leaning towards saying nay to this proposal. |
