Bill: Bill NP-117: Detainment of the mentally ill act

Details

Submitted by[?]: National Progress Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 4257

Description[?]:

(This bill wa proposed by the minister of Health and Social Services Jordan Ryan)
The government has no right to keep innocent people imprisoned without their consent. Even if someone is a mentally ill that doesn's mean we have the right to violate their right. We do think, however, that people that are deemed to pose a serious threat to others should remain detained as safety of the mass is more important than rights of one individual.
