(This bill was proposed by the senator Elaine Mccray) Giving political education to our teenager is very important. These young people will be allow to vote in a few years and they must understand how our political system work. If this bill pass, we will integrate basic political education in our mandatory national curriculum. The political education class will by given to students that are bewteen the age of 15 and 17. These are the topic that will be teached in the political education class: -How does the Federal Government work -How does the local provincial government work -How does the municipal government work -How does Federal, Provincial and municipal elections work -Basic explanation of the different ideologies (Left-wing, Right-wing, pogressive, conservative, ect) |

Message | Mr. Speaker, We are vehemently opposed to this bill. Simply because this is far too slippery of a slope to begin down. What it will ultimately lead to is indoctrinating the youth to a certain set of political beliefs, rather than letting them think for themselves and form their own opinions.
