Bill: Impeach Vrylar
Details
Submitted by[?]: National People's Gang
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill requests an early election. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline. Elections will be held immediately if the bill passes.
Voting deadline: February 2062
Description[?]:
The so-called "Head of State" Damien Vrylar stands accused of: conspiracy to undermine the democratic principles of Lodamun; conspiracy to undermine the economic well-being of Lodamun; conspiracy to commit treason by neglecting the wishes of the People of Lodamun; fraud, embezzlement, misappropriation of funds, theft, gangsterism and errant book-keeping. Vrylar is the current figurehead of an organisation which has sought, consistently, to oppress significant proportions of Lodamun's population, specifically those in Rapula and Golavia. It has used politically divisive tactics to exclude the races and cultures represented from those two regions. He is currently leader of an organisation which has sanctioned vast amounts of government spending, knowing full-well that the government has never raised revenues by any legal means, leading to the dangers of bankruptcy and international debt. As there exists no legislated means of raising government revenues, the organisation led by Vrylar has illegally gathered moneys from the People of Lodamun, through coercion, threats of violence, racketeering and deception. Vrylar has undermined and mismanaged the financial security of the nation, has fuelled separatist movements through deliberately divisive policies and brought the nation of Lodamun into international disrepute as part of a long-term conspiracy which includes the following co-conspirators: Unnamed members of the "Amystian Council" Christopher Lannings Edom November Tommy Douglas, of the "Moderate Leftist Party of Lodamun" This bill demands the immediate impeachment of Vrylar so that legal proceedings against him may go ahead and that a new head of state be elected. |

Message | Douglas no longer heads the MLP. This is presposterous, and while it does call for early elections, we cannot support it. |

Message | The MLP would like to note that it does not understand the implication of Douglas. We would also like to note that should a new bill calling for an early election be proposed, we would back it depending on its content. The MLP are surprised that Douglas has been named a "co-conspirator", when all he has done was propose a cabinet for ONE (1) term. |
Date | 15:02:26, June 03, 2005 CET | From | National People's Gang | To | Debating the Impeach Vrylar |
Message | Having served as chief executive during the period under scrutiny, he is implicated. His naming as a co-conspirator is an accusation. If he is not guilty of the alleged crimes then he should come out of hiding and surrender his person to the mercy of the courts. However, this initial running from justice is not likely to sit well with the jury. |
Date | 17:33:49, June 03, 2005 CET | From | Cooperative Commonwealth Federation | To | Debating the Impeach Vrylar |
Message | What jury? These are serious charges, and should be brought in a duly established court, not through accusation and innuendo. The 2 June Movement (ooc: i adore the enw name) is not a tribunal. |
Date | 19:18:40, June 03, 2005 CET | From | National People's Gang | To | Debating the Impeach Vrylar |
Message | The 2nd June Movement does not claim to be judge or jury, merely whistleblower - and, of course, representative for a significant proportion of the population of the area known collectively as Lodamun. However, if the judicial system of the ruling powers is not capable of delivering transparent justice, then the arena of investigation will become the people's court of the PACF. |
Date | 19:22:59, June 03, 2005 CET | From | National People's Gang | To | Debating the Impeach Vrylar |
Message | If the CCF is truly a supporter of the PACF, if the CCF is truly a believer in the politics of principle and not merely a lapdog of the principals of power, if the CCF has morality beyond liberal pragmatism, let it change its vote on this bill and help to bring the accused before the courts. |
