| Message | Scott Harding (with Sukhvinder Javeed) has been elected as the President of the Beluzia Liberals and therefore their Presidential Candidate. Scott Harding previously ran for leader of Beluzia Liberals four years ago, narrowly losing out to incumbent Sara Longworth. Scott Harding resides in the Liberal Conservative faction of the party. This will be interesting to watch and could cause division within the party because Sara Longworth and Scott Harding do not get on at all, and have had very public spats in the past. This election could see a move away from social liberalism in the party seen as the membership voted a whopping 62.56% for a Liberal Conservative candidate whereas the supposedly majority social liberal faction only achieved a woeful 27.11% of the vote. Social Democrats have stayed stagnant with 10.33% of the vote, down by ~0.6% from the leadership election. The top two presidential candidates were both Liberal Conservative and therefore in the second round, Eva Díaz Tezanos conceded and allowed Scott Harding to have an unopposed victory. |
