Bill: Compassionate Abortion Reform Act. C.A.R.A. 12-63
Details
Submitted by[?]: Hutori Freedom Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 4264
Description[?]:
Abortion is a controversial and polarizing topic, we can all agree on that. A compromise must be struck to move the needle to a more central position. The previously voted on ADA Act of 4252 showed there is a large voice opposing ANY federal funding for abortion. Now with my parties newly acquired seats, we can win this vote unlike last time. In an act of reaching a middle ground, rather than a shift to the opposite end of the extreme spectrum. We propose the following: -Abortion laws will be left to local governments. Considering the many differing cultures and regional beliefs across Hutori, this sensitive issue will be a local decision for the people of our land. Not from politicians thousands of miles away. -Due to a large, if not majority, of our population being against abortion it is only fair that all government funded abortion be ceased. It is not right that tax payers foot the bill for something that a large percentage are so vehemently and diametrically opposed to. ***Exception being if it is a medical emergency and an abortion is deemed necessary by the delivering physician to save the life of the mother, then the Federal Government will step in and subsidize it if the mother/couple A) Cannot afford it B) consents to the doctors recommended abortion and C) the local government laws allow abortion. The Federal Government will only step in and subsidize it if it is within a local government that allows abortion.*** Let us talk about this issue openly and honestly, and let's deliver something more fair for our great people of Hutori. -Prime Minister Butch Johnson Hutori Freedom Party |

Random fact: "Game mechanics comes first." For example, if a currently-enforced bill sets out one law, then a player cannot claim the government has set out a contradictory law. |
