Bill: Parliamentary Protections

Details

Submitted by[?]: Luthori Imperialist Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 4267

Description[?]:

Parliamentary Protection should only apply when a member of the Imperial Diet is carrying out his or her job and not in regular day to day life. To afford members of the Imperial Diet more protections than needed is to create a special "governing class".

MessageMr. Speaker,

I find it appalling but not shocking that so many members of the Imperial Diet would vote against this bill. Of course, so many members would like to continue receiving unlimited protection from any form of punishment...but this party will continue to fight for the people and will oppose the creation of a political class. I also find it somewhat amusing that the Bawrai Party...who in recent days has proposed changes to nearly EVERY law imaginable...would not want to change a law that screams of conservative cronyism.

I yield

MessageMr. Speaker,

It is quite appalling that a party that destroyed our beloved republic and paved a way for a monarchy talks about fighting for the people and opposing a creation of political class.
